Maryann, originally from Yarmouth, moved to Halifax to pursue her dream career as a Registered Massage Therapist. She completed her 2200-hour program in 2019 at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH). During her time at CCMH she has had the opportunity to treat a variety of conditions including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, tension headaches, carpal tunnel, and scoliosis. Additionally, Maryann has learned the treatment and prevention of several other conditions and symptoms such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, depression and anxiety.
Maryann enjoys using deep tissue massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy but can also transition her techniques and pressure to the client’s preference. With over a year of experience working in a spa setting, Maryann has mastered the slow, Swedish Massage style to help melt away mental and physical stress.
Maryann’s goals are to openly communicate with each individual to find out what treatment protocol is best suited for their needs to reach optimal health. She will provide education to her clients about postural imbalances, homecare, and body awareness.
